Wine Details

"Please enjoy the 2014 release of our Liparita Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon, our single vineyard exploration of a beautiful benchlands vineyard in the Yountville Appellation. We have produced what we consider a modern Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon in an attempt to capture the frontier spirit intrinsic in the founder of Liparita, William Keynes, when he started the winery in 1880. Further, this appellation specific wine was designed to capture the unique characteristics of the soils in Yountville,
one of the newer appellations in the valley."

Tasting Notes
Showing deep garnet in the glass and with heady aromas of strawberry, raspberry and ripe plum. The nose is balanced nicely with ripe characters of blackberry jelly, honey, caramel and creamy milk chocolate. Lively and focused in the mouth, with juicy ripe red fruit and lush, well integrated tannins. Sweet cigar box and sappy bayberry offer a warm rich counterpoint and bring balance to the palate of expressive fruit. This is a layered and refined expression of our Liparita Cabernet, still powerful, but with an active mid-palate and spacious freshness on the finish.
