We are dedicated to bringing Liparita back to the luster of its glory days, by creating wine with the same frontier spirit that embodied the award-winning wines of its thriving past. The founder of Liparita, William S. Keyes, started the winery in 1880 with the aim of putting California wine front and center on the world stage. The label retains the heritage of the past, but displays the crested initial of my father, Spencer Hoopes. The winemaking concept is similar as well, focused on making great wines from extraordinary appellations. This modern Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc captures the unique characteristics of the soils in St Helena, one of the newer appellations in the valley. This modern Napa Valley Chardonnay captures the unique characteristics of the terroir of Los Carneros, the oldest appellation in the valley.

Inviting aromas of bosc pear, crème brulée, and toasted almond give this wine layered complexity. The palate is rich, full, and lengthy. The richness is preserved with the acidity that a cool growing region contributes, making this wine age worthy and able to contend with the most complex and rich cuisine.
